Hope on the Horizon: New Mental Health Center Opens Its Doors

Alliance has a new mental health center that is home to Pathways to Hope Counseling and Therapy, Langford Behavioral Services and Western Nebraska Behavioral Health.

The center opened on March 3 and is located at 224 West 2nd St.

The mission of the center is to support mental wellness and offer a variety of treatments for all patients.

The providers at the center include Julie Hamburger, LIMHP; Michelle Haynes, M.A., Ed., PLMHP, with Western Nebraska Behavioral Health; Amy Langford, APRN, PHMNP-BC, with Langford Behavioral Services; and Ashley Mack, Cognitive Billing Inc.

“My motivation has been to help people and inspire mental health awareness,” said Hamburger. “We are primarily cognitive behavioral in nature with how we practice. A lot of person-centered [care that is] driven toward faulty thinking patterns and cognitive distortions and helping people.”

Hamburger provides counseling to children, adolescents, families and adults.

Haynes works with children, adolescents and adults and offers teleheath and in-person therapy services.

Langford specializes in treating conditions including anxiety, depression, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), bipolar disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and substance use disorder among other conditions not listed.

The center is open Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
