Hyannis Area Schools 2020-2021 Superintendent of Schools Travis Hawk and Activities Director Tiffany Rice are excited to announce that due to tremendous regional corporate support, Hyannis Area Schools will be installing new bleachers in the school gymnasium.

Pictured are three major corporate sponsors combined to make this dream project become a reality. WESTCO CEO David Briggs stated, “We’re proud to support this project as a way to strengthen the community and see it thrive. Projects like this are essential to enriching our rural area and the people who live here. Cooperatives were founded on the principles of education, community involvement and cooperation.” The WESTCO donation was matched through the CHS Seeds for Stewardship grant. “By combining resources, we are providing double the impact to our area and demonstrating the cooperative spirit.”

Another important corporate sponsorship came through PREMA. PREMA general manager Ryan Reiber also worked to have PREMA donations matched by the 2020 CoBank Sharing Success Program. “Part of our mission statement says we pledge to participate in programs and activities which foster the well being and economic development of the communities in our services area. PREMA is a membership cooperative. One of the Seven Cooperative Principles is” CONCERN FOR COMMUNITY,” stated Reiber. “PREMA is community-minded. We strive to contribute to the sustainable development of our communities by investing locally,” added Reiber.

Also making a tremendously generous donation was the Austin and Ellie Anderson family on behalf of the Rex Ranch. The Rex Ranch is proud to support Hyannis Area Schools and to contribute to the community and to help provide a more safe environment for patrons and students of Hyannis Area schools.

Also making significant contributions to this fund raising project was Webb Orthodontics of Alliance, Box Butte General Hospital of Alliance and Pepsi-Cola distributing of Alliance. The old bleachers are scheduled to be removed and installation of the new bleachers will begin on July 20.
