James L. Fistler ,71, passed away Monday, October 12, 2020 at the home of his daughter in Alliance from an extended illness.
He was born December 28, 1948 in Keithsburg, Illinois to Kenneth and Helen (High) Fistler.
On February 12, 1979 he was united in marriage to Judie K. Von Tour.
He is survived by his wife, Judie, his children, Mark (Shonda) Sheets of Alliance, Jennifer (James) Monroe of Alliance and Rick (Michele) Hall of Minneapolis, MN, his grandchildren, Kayla Sheets, Madison Monroe, Mya Monroe, Mason Monroe and Zander Hall. He is also survived by his brother, Butch (Gerene) Fistler of Mason City, IA, his sister, Shirley Fistler of Manly, IA and his twin brother, John (Carole) of Hemingford and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be Friday, October 16 at 10:00 a.m. at the Bates-Gould Chapel with Pastor Tim Stadem officiating. A private family burial will follow at the Nebraska Veterans Cemetery.
