Jessen Farms is pleased to announce it has awarded $2,500 scholarships to four members of the 2021 graduating class of Alliance High School. The scholarship winners are:
Jayce Meyring, the son of Jay and Shauna Meyring, who plans to attend Butler Community College in El Dorado, Kan., where he will compete on the Livestock Judging Team. After graduation, Jayce will move on to a four-year school where he will earn degrees in Agribusiness and Ag Economics.
Chloe Blumanthal, the daughter of Mark and Krista Blumanthal, who will attend Hastings College and study to become a therapist/psychologist. Chloe has already been asked to join a committee working to develop better mental health support for Hastings College students.
Keeley Mazanec, the daughter of Bill and Lori Mazanec, who will study at Western Nebraska Community College and the University of Nebraska Medical Center on the road to becoming a registered nurse.
Diana Kollars, the daughter of Rene’e and Tim Kollars, who will pursue a degree in Political Science at Hastings College with future plans to serve Nebraskans in state government.
Each year, Jessen Farms, a family farming corporation operating in Box Butte County, offers up to four $2,500 scholarships to seniors graduating from Alliance High School. This need-based scholarship was established in 2018.
