Kenneth Kisicki Obituary

Sunday morning, July 19, 2020 our Ken left his physical life for his spiritual life, the ultimate goal we all share.  He was quite ready for this journey.  Ken was a good man, one of very deep and real faith in God.  As he leaves us, we have realized how greatly respected he was by so many and it is heartwarming and consoling to hear from family and friends who loved him.
Ken was born in Alliance Nebraska on March 11th 1937, the eldest of 8 children born to Marie and Stanley Kisicki. He is survived by his wife of 50 years Susan, his children Erin and Paul, their spouses Joe Rapp and Ashley Copen as well as his grandchildren Makayla, Justin, Wyatt and Ila, his sisters Mary Gilmor, Carol Plummer, Phyllis Blount, sister-in-law Gloria Kisicki, brothers-in-law Jerry Foss and Garrell Blount, and many beloved nieces, nephews and extended family. He is proceeded in death by his sisters Julia Bakke, Paula McIntosh, Donna Foss and his brother Ben Kisicki.
Ken was proud of his service to his country as a Marine. He was also a 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus and a lifelong member of the BPOE Elks. Ken loved to travel and spent a large portion of his life enjoying national parks throughout the United States and Canada as well as numerous trips to countries around the world with his beloved traveling companion, Susie.
After the pandemic eases and it is safe to gather, we plan to have a mass where we will remember Ken. He did love the mass and had said he would like that.  Meanwhile, this very prayerful man will be listening for your prayers of thanksgiving for the life he lived.
Some people want to give donations in memory of a loved one who passes away.  Ken would say to help your children if they need and to take care of yourselves. In his retirement, Ken focused his energies on helping the homeless and those in need through the local food banks. If you wish to give a remembrance in his name, please consider following his lead.
