Kevin Cyle McFarland was born in Scottsbluff, Nebraska on November 4th, 1974 to Kenneth and Glenda McFarland. He died peacefully in his home on Wednesday, January 24th in Alliance, Nebraska.
Kevin was preceded in death by his father, two uncles, an aunt, his paternal grandparents, his beloved wife Constance, his brother Phillip, and his maternal grandfather Glen Ward. He is survived by his mother Glenda and stepfather Doug Pratt, two aunts, an uncle, his brothers Nick (Sarah) and Jed (Heidi), and his grandmother Jessie Ward.
Kevin and Constance were married on July 7th, 2003. He was a loving and devoted father to three sons: Jeffrey (Tristen), Alexander, and Damon McFarland. Ever the family man, he is also survived by five stepchildren from his union with Constance, numerous grandchildren including Leo Nail, Kenny (Yesenia), Allie, and Ashley Mekolon, Hunter and Morticia McFarland, as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, and great-grandchildren.
Kevin’s approach to life was punctuated by bravery, loyalty, and resilience. Despite the challenges he encountered, Kevin maintained a warm, compassionate spirit and never failed to offer help to those who needed it. His kindness touched the lives of many, and his dependability meant he was always willing to put others before himself.
Kevin will be remembered as the one you could call in a pinch, a do-it-yourself solver of problems with a curious mind and an artistic soul. Always eager to learn or to try something new, Kevin’s life and the way he chose to live it will leave a lasting legacy in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him. May his memory continue to inspire and bring comfort to those who mourn his loss.
