The Alliance Bulldog Lady’s Basketball team traveled to Chadron to take on the 11-1 and #3 rated Cardinals. This would be the Bulldogs fourth straight state rated opponent. The Cardinals would explode hitting 6 of their first 7 three pointers and never look back defeating Alliance 51-12. On the Value Point System, the Cardinals would have 8 girls score above 1.75 with the 1.00 line signifying a good game. The Bulldogs would only have Payton Weber score above the 1.00 line on the night.
The Bulldogs would be led on the night by Payton Weber and Jordan Hopp. Payton would score 2 points and have 3 rebounds while Jordan contributed 6 points and 4 rebounds to lead those categories. Alliance would shoot poorly going 6 of 24 from inside the arc and 0 for 5 outside the arc. 6 for 29 would equate to 20.7% from the field. The Bulldogs would not even sniff the charity line as they did not have a single attempt. The Cardinals would answer with 21 of 39 shooting from the field for a 53.8% clip.
The Bulldogs next entertained Gordon-Rushville on Tuesday. This home game served as the Bulldogs Parent’s Night as well as Senior Night. Friday night the Bulldogs will face Ogallala at home as they entertain yet another state rated team.
