The Alliance Lady Bulldogs battled hard in the Western Conference Tournament, but were unable to find victory.
On Thursday, the Lady Bulldogs took on the Scottsbluff Lady Bearcats. In the first quarter, the Lady Bulldogs posted nine points, while the Lady Bearcats posted 10. In the second quarter, Alliance scored six points while Scottsbluff scored 26. The Lady Bulldogs kept the pace in the third quarter, posting six points, and the Lady Bearcats posted 20. In the final quarter, Alliance posted 10 points, but Scottsbluff posted 13 points, claiming victory with a final score of 69-31.
Friday saw a battle of the Lady Bulldogs as Alliance took on Gering. In the first quarter, Gering scored 25 points while Alliance posted four points. In the second quarter, Alliance posted 10 points while limiting Gering to 12. However, Gering’s defense was strong in the second half, limiting Alliance to three points in the third quarter and four in the fourth, while garnering 15 points in each. Gering claimed victory with a final score of 67-12.
In the final game of the tournament, the Lady Bulldogs took on the Sidney Lady Red Raiders with a final score of 54-2. The Lady Bulldogs will play in Hastings on Friday.
