Lady Crusaders Open Conference Tournament with Win over Horns

Morrill hosted this year’s Panhandle Conference Junior High girl’s tournament. Nine teams competed in the event. The defending champs, the Alliance St. Agnes Academy started their day with a contest with the Hyannis Longhorns. A big third period by the Crusaders powered the Academy past the Longhorns 45 to 11. St. Agnes outscored Hyannis 22 to 0 in the third to pull away. With the victory, the Academy improved to 8 and 2 for the year. St. Agnes moved on to play Hemingford in a semi final matchup later in the day.
