Leo “Junior” Arthur Tritle Obituary

Our beloved husband, father, brother, uncle, and loyal friend, Leo “Junior” Arthur Tritle passed into eternity on February 23, 2025.  He was born to Hiram and Beulah Tritle on August 16th, 1947, in Alliance, Nebraska.  He married Susie Coupens in 1968 and they had four children, Kimberly, Jason, Sarah, and Renee.

Upon graduation from Alliance High School in 1966, Junior received a full ride scholarship to the University of Nebraska-Kearney to run track and field.  Junior moved back to Alliance to aid an ailing family member and started working at Kansas-Nebraska energy while starting his family.  In 1968 Junior enlisted with the US Air Force, proudly serving at the US Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs as a civil engineer.  After leaving the Air Force, Junior returned once again to Alliance to serve the community and established Tritle Plumbing in 1971 where he took 24/7 calls for plumbing emergencies around the clock until his retirement in 2013.  Even in retirement, Junior was available for emergency calls for drains and clogs or backups to those in his community.

He is survived by his wife; Susie; children Kim (Doug), Jason (Carey), Sarah (Scott), and Renee (Jan), 14 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and his sister, Margie, in addition to numerous nephews and nieces.

Junior is preceded in death by his parents, Hiram and Beulah, and sister’s Betty, Dorothy, Elsie, and his brother Calvin.

A celebration of Junior’s life will be held later this summer during the Fourth of July holiday where he will be laid to rest at the Alliance Veterans Cemetery with full military honors.
