The Alliance Golf team competed on a windy day in McCook on April 19, where players were disappointed with their performances.
“We struggled yesterday and the boys were disappointed with their performance. They competed til the end so I was proud of them for that. Yes, the wind made some shots difficult but we played into trouble a lot and did not give ourselves chances to be aggressive,” said Coach Brandt Banzhaf.
The Bulldogs had a team score of 391 and placed eighth out of 12 other teams. Bulldog Seth Morrison lead the team with a score of 94.
“Seth Morrison has shown a lot of growth over the last two years and it showed yesterday as he put up a strong score,” said Banzhaf.
The Bulldog’s take the lessons learned in McCook and use them to push towards their goals.
“Our goals are bigger than just one invite and we are going to be the more driven and focused team down the stretch,” said Banzhaf.
The following are the results for individuals at the Boys Golf Tournament:
18. Seth Morrison – 94
23. Jayden McCracken – 97
26. Taytom Timbers – 97
39. Isaac Weems – 103
51. Tristen Timbers – 115
