Lewis Ends Bulldog Career With a State Medal

The 2026 NSAA Girl’s state wrestling championships took place on Tuesday and Wednesday, February 17 and 18 in Omaha. Class A had teams from 52 schools taking part in the event. With 131 points, it was Omaha Westside taking home the first place trophy with Kearney second at 127.5 points. Norfolk ended third with 101.5 tallies. Alliance finished the tournament with 11 points which was good for 44th. The Bulldogs got a sixth place effort from Surenity Lewis at 190. Lewis won both her matches on Tuesday and advanced to the semi finals on Wednesday. The Bulldog senior then ran into some tough luck and finished the tourney in sixth, losing a couple of heart breakers. Also competing for AHS were fellow senior Aiva Raymer who lost both her battles at 135 and freshman Charlize Doranbach who went 0 and 2 at 170.

190 Lewis 6th place went 2 and 3 defeats Waverly defeats Omaha Buena Vista loses to Scottsbluff loses to Omaha Westside loses to Lincoln North Star ends with a 28 and 12 record
