Lilly L. Larsen was born February 4, 1928 at her grandparent’s home at the foot of the Rawhide Buttes south of Lusk, Wyoming. She was the oldest child of Ernest Larsen and Anna Person Larsen. She passed away on November 7, 2024 at Highland Park Care Center in Alliance, NE at the age of 96.
Lilly graduated from Sioux County Highschool in 1945 and went right to work at the Sioux National Bank. She retired from the bank in 1984 after 38 years of employment, and then became a part-time secretary for the Sioux County Superintendent of Schools.
Her survivors include her sister, Linda (Ron) Gunia of Alliance, NE, step-nieces Angie (Jim) Albarella, Pam (Jim) Cyza, Laura Gunia, Sande (Sean) McCue, and step-nephews Ron (Shannon) Gunia and Scott (Sarah) Gunia. Her brother, Leonard, and her parents preceded her in death. Lilly’s family would like to thank Highland Park Care Center for many years of loving care and for creating a place that truly became her home.
Services will be held at Harrison United Methodist Church on Wednesday, November 20th, 2024 at 11:00am and burial will be at Harrison Cemetery. Memorials may be given to the Harrison United Methodist Church.
