De Holt from Alliance came up just short of advancing to the American Poolplayers Association (APA) Poolplayer Championships in Las Vegas after falling in the finals of her skill level tier at the Western Nebraska APA 9-Ball Singles Regional Championships held recently in North Platte.
Holt earned a cash prize for her second-place finish.
The 8-Ball and 9-Ball Regional event had seventy-seven players eligible to compete, with the top six earning a spot in the Vegas Championships.
Players that advance to the Singles Championship events in Vegas compete with others at or near their own skill level for up to $15,000 first place cash and prizes. Players also enjoy a generous travel allowance, paid entry fees/greens fees and complimentary lodging at Westgate Las Vegas Resort and Casino, site of the APA Championships.
