Will and Steph Mahony donated $2000 to the Hemingford Playground Fundraiser and challenged other families to give to this important community recreational enhancement. Exciting news, Lloyd and Micki Votruba were the first family to step up to the challenge and donated $1000 in memory of Keri Votruba!
Any family interested in taking the challenge, can submit your tax-deductible donation here: Hemingford Community Foundation or by mailing a check to: Hemingford Community Foundation, P.O. Box 444, Hemingford, NE 69348.
The Foundation and Village met with the equipment vendor taking the Kid’s Playground Advisory Committee feedback and are working to narrow down selections to purchase before the end of October while the 50% discount is available.
To continue supporting this effort, the Foundation still has the drawing for the four ¼ beef and tickets can be purchased at the October 4th football tailgate, October 12th Legion Fall Festival, December 4th Believe Community Soup Supper, or any time at Mobius/Hemingford Telephone Company or the Hemingford Credit Union. They are $20/ticket, and the drawing will be held on December 4. The beef is donated by Delsing Farms with processing donated by Jordan’s Pack.
If you’ve visited the park recently, you know that the equipment, last updated in 1997, is in dire need of an upgrade. Let’s come together to enhance our community’s recreational spaces!
