Cherry Martin, of Alliance, has joined the Alliance Times-Herald Staff as an office assistant.
Martin, who was born in Chadron, moved to Alliance in 1984 and worked with her husband, Matthew Martin, at their restaurant, Martin’s Family Restaurant, until April 2016 when it closed.
Martin has raised three children and has eight grandchildren.
In her free time, she enjoys reading biographies and listening to music. Martin also sings in a band. She said performing music with the band helped her get through the COVID-19 pandemic.
Martin is excited to meet new people in the community and to build lasting friendships. People are invited to visit the Alliance Times-Herald to meet Martin.
“I’m happy to be here, I really am,” said Martin. “I’m part of the community again, it feels like.”
