A two vehicle crash on Highway 87 near Carhenge resulted in one person being transported to the hospital to be treated for injuries.
According to Cody Thomas, Public Relations Director with the Nebraska State Patrol, the wreck occurred at approximately 4:30 p.m. on July 31. He explained that a Nissan Rogue was traveling southbound on Highway 87 while a FedEx Straight truck was also traveling southbound. The FedEx truck attempted to pass the Nissan in the northbound lane.
“As the truck was attempting to pass, the Nissan attempted to turn left into Carhenge,” said Thomas. “The two vehicles collided.”
The driver of the FedEx truck was transported to the hospital to be treated for minor injuries.
