Morrill County Sheriff Receives NIRMA Award

Morrill County Sheriff Milo Cardenas has received a Special Recognition Award from the Nebraska Intergovernmental Risk Management Association (NIRMA), the county’s property, liability and workers’ compensation coverage and risk management services provider.

The announcement of his selection was made during an awards banquet held in conjunction with the annual membership conference the organization held Oct. 23-24 in Kearney for county officials and employees in that participate in the risk management and self-insurance program.

Sheriff Cardenas was chosen for his exceptional efforts to incorporate sound risk management and loss prevention principles into the operations of the Morrill County Sheriff’s Office to promote safety and reduce the county’s exposure to liability.

Each year NIRMA honors those members and individuals who demonstrate a commitment to reducing potential risks, liability exposures and claim costs.
