Myron Kent Wilkie, 69, of Alliance, passed away Monday, November 1, 2021, at Box Butte Hospital in Alliance. His memorial service will be held at 10am on Thursday, November 11, 2021, at Bridgman Funeral Home in Scottsbluff. The family respectfully requests that in lieu of any flowers, memorials in Myron’s honor be made in care of the Nebraska Children’s Home. Myron was born on April 23rd, 1952, in Scottsbluff, Nebraska to Clarence and Delma (Foster) Wilkie. Myron spent his growing up years on the family ranch in Sioux County Nebraska. Myron then graduated from Sioux County High School in Harrison. There he participated in football, FFA, and wrestling. After graduation he studied veterinary science at what is now Western Nebraska Community College. While attending college he met his wife, Judith. They were married in December of 1976. They adopted 2 children, Matthew, and Shauna.
Myron worked most of his life on the family ranch in Sioux County, until 2008. Myron moved to Alliance in 2012, where he lived until he passed away. Myron enjoyed collecting unique knives, hunting, fishing, and spending time with his children. He was especially happy to show off photos of his new grand baby.
He is survived by his older brother Chuck (Libbie) Wilkie (Worland, WY), older sister Margaret “Peggy” (Duane) Freouf (Guernsey, WY), his son Matthew (Sidney, NE) and his daughter Shauna (Jeff) Halle (Kokomo, IN), and one grandson Oliver.
Myron is preceded in death by his parents and his wife Judy.
