The Nebraska LEAD Program is proud to announce that its Class 44 cohort—28 Fellows representing communities from across the state—will convene in the Nebraska Panhandle for their second seminar, focusing on “The Land, The People, and The Resources.”
Over the course of three days, Fellows will explore the Panhandle through visits to the Legacy of the Plains Museum, Western Nebraska Community College, the North Platte Natural Resources District, and the Panhandle Research, Extension and Education Center. Presentations from local professionals and community leaders will provide Fellows the chance to connect with experts, build networks, and learn firsthand about the resources and people that make western Nebraska unique.
The Nebraska LEAD Program, launched in 1981, was created to cultivate strong agricultural leaders prepared to guide the future of Nebraska’s number one industry. With agriculture constantly evolving—through changes in policy, markets, economics, and technology—the need for forward-thinking leadership remains as important as ever. Now entering its fourth decade, the LEAD Program continues to pioneer the development of agricultural leaders across the state.
