Norman Dale Keder passed away February 1, 2023, at Medicalodges, Great Bend, Kansas at the age of 83. He was born July 23, 1939, to John Keder and Bertha (Berryman) Keder at St. Joseph Hospital in Alliance, Nebraska. He spent most of his life in Alliance later moving to Hoisington, Kansas. His father suddenly passed away when Norm was 17 years old, so he took over the farm. Farming for 58 years raising corn, wheat, and beans. He took much pride in his farming and equipment. Norm also enjoyed watching football and baseball games.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Wilbert Keder and sister, Dorothy Reinwald.
Survivors include; sons, Douglas (Joann) Keder of Vancouver, Washington, and Kirk (Sally) Keder of Sterling, Illinois, and a daughter, Dinah (Jeff) Dahlen, of Tucson, Arizona; a special friend, Karolyn McCaslin of Hoisington, Kansas; a grandson, Skyler Keder of Sterling, Illinois; four granddaughters, Meghan (Thomas) Keder of Trondheim, Norway and Mackensie (Kyle) Keder of Beaverton, Oregon, Hannah Keder of Sterling, Illinois, and Cooper Parkison of Tucson, Arizona; a sister, Donna Kinsey of Seattle, Washington; and a sister-in-law, Jan Keder of Milpetas, California.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, with a Prayer Service to begin at 7 p.m., at Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home, Hoisington, Kansas.
Graveside service, with viewing, will follow the next day at 2 p.m., Tuesday, February 7, 2023, at Alliance City Cemetery, Alliance, Nebraska. Friends will gather at the Fraternal Order of Eagles Lodge following the service.
