Obey

An interesting concept is put forth by God in Romans 6:15: “Don’t you know that when you offer yourselves to someone to obey him as slaves, you are slaves to the one you obey – whether you are slaves to sin, which leads to death, or to obedience which leads to righteousness?”

Have you considered yourself a slave? God’s word is truth and the word says you are a slave either for sin or for God. Your Choice. Jesus taught obedience to God in Luke 11:28: “Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and obey it.”

God made obedience easy to understand in John 14:15: “If you love Me, you will obey what I command.” That concept is taught also in John 15:10, Acts 5:29 and 32, Romans 16:25-27, and in I John. Obedience is an important feature in personal life and success, as well as in the family order, business principles and in principled government. In the case of love for God, as well as for eternity, love is absolutely necessary. Obedience to God is revealed to us in the Bible. Knowing God’s will is available when we study, knowing God’s love letters to us, the Bible. Our duty is to OBEY.
