Outgoing Council Members Recognized

Two outgoing Alliance City Council Members were recognized for their service to the community during their meeting on Nov. 15.

Annora Bentley and Earl Jones were both cited for their period of service on the Alliance City Council. Council Member John McGhehey presented a plaque to Bentley, thanking her for her service from December 2018 to December 2022.

“I’d like to just say that it’s been an honor to serve the city, and it’s been a privilege to serve with all of you,” said Bentley. “I think we’ve done some great things and I wish you all good luck going forward with your new council members.”

Council Member Earl Jones, left, receives a plaque from Council Member Brian Mischnick recognizing him for his service in the community and his service on the Alliance City Council.

Council Member Brian Mischnick presented a plaque to Jones, thanking him for serving on the council from Dec. 4, 2014 to Dec. 1, 2022.

“Thanks for everything you’ve done on the council, and thanks for everything you do in the community, Earl, it’s appreciated,” said Mischnick.
