Patricia K Bauer (Bolek) was born July 27th, 1945 to Joseph and Edna Bolek in Rushville, Nebraska. Pat went to be with our Heavenly Father April 9, 2022.
Pat was raised in the Sandhills of Nebraska. She spent her early adulthood in Omaha before moving back to Alliance, Nebraska. There she started babysitting John Bauer’s boys not knowing that he would become the love of her life. They ended up getting married August 16, 2002. Together they raised five children. After the children were raised she filled her time as a baker in the Alliance Middle School cafeteria until she retired. Then she enjoyed baking cakes and making her famous cinnamon ice cream for her loved ones. In her spare time she loved attending to her flowers and garden and driving John around the countryside. Pat attendant Heartland Baptist Church. This is where she found another family whom she loved blessing with her baking abilities.
Pat is survived by her husband, John Bauer, her children Billy (Diane) Taylor of Rapid City, South Dakota, Brenda (Terry) Croswell of Alliance, Barb Addleman of Kansas City, Missouri, Ben (Dana) Bauer of Alliance and Trabor (Brittany) Bauer of Alliance and 17 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren . She is also survived by her brothers, Richard (Carolyn) Bolek of Gering, Nebraska, Lynn Bolek of Oregon, Joe (Judy) Bolek of Arkansas, Gary (Vikki) Bolek of Hemingford, Nebraska. Pat was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers and a sister, a daughter, granddaughter, and a great granddaughter.
Memorials can be sent to Heartland Baptist Church of Alliance.
Funeral services will be Friday, April 15 at 10:00 a.m. at the Bates-Gould Chapel with Pastor Dennis Gruber officiating. Burial will be in the Alliance Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 1-7 p.m., with the family present from 4-5 p.m. at the funeral home.
