Peggy Marie (Richardson) Fritzler, 89, passed away Friday, February 7, 2020.
She was born July 15th 1930 in Wood Lake, NE to Samuel Richardson and Fern (Harris) Richardson. Peggy graduated from Valentine, NE High School and then attended Hastings College where she received her degree in Elementary Education. She then moved to Hemingford, NE where she taught 4th grade for one year.
She then moved back to Alliance NE and worked a job she loved at Northern Plains Roundup for Dwight Sloan.
In 1953 she met Fred Fritzler and they were married Jan 17th 1954. A devoted farm wife for most of her life, one of her happiest days was the one when she moved to town. She was a faithful member of St John’s Lutheran Church and was active in Bible Study group and Women’s Quilting sessions. She also played the piano for Wednesday Night Services and taught many children the basics and joy of piano. Her spare time was kept busy raising 3 children, cooking delicious meals and spending time with friends and family.
She is survived by her daughter, Kathy (Monte) Evans and her two sons, Steve (Vickie) Fritzler and Douglas (Delores) Fritzler. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Sarah (Evans) Christiansen, Lindsay (Evans) Percival, Luke Evans, and Michael Fritzler, and two great grandchildren Avery and Jakoby Christiansen, as well as her nephew, Bill Richardson.
She is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and a sister and her beloved husband Fred.
A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 A.M. Thursday February 13th at St John’s Lutheran Church in Alliance, NE with Pastor Tim Stadem officiating.
