The Western Nebraska Pioneers suffered a loss in a close game when they took on the Gem City Bison on July 6
The Pioneers chalked up a loss with a final score of Pioneers 5, Bison 6, bringing the Pioneers’ overall record to 20-13.
Jaxson Easterlin took the loss for the Pioneers, where Easterlin threw for 3.2 innings allowing eight hits four runs walking one and striking out two. The Pioneers racked up 11 hits against the Bison, where Alex Zerfass, Declan Wiesner and Jason Luke led with two hits each.
The Pioneers will play again at an away game against the Canyon County Spuds on July 8.
