Local pool players were recognized for winning the Summer Session of the American Poolplayers Association (APA) 8-Ball and 9-Ball Pool Leagues.
Winning the Monday 9-Ball title was “The Dominators” out of The Gathering Spot in Alliance including De Vath, Jaz Henderson, Truen Henderson, Leta Lucero, Nathan Grant and Tony Gonzalez and Bernardo Reza.
League MVP honors went to Carter Vath, Truen Henderson and Willie Smith.
The Wednesday 8-Ball championship went to “Lucky Styx” out of The Gathering Spot including Marilyn Bolinger, Angela Ayers, Justin Bossell, Charles Glass, Kenneth Washington, Crystal Ibarra and Scott Bolinger and Jaymes Allen.
Earning 8-Ball MVP status was Kenneth Washington, Harley Keenan and Bernardo Reza.
Winning teams each session advance to the Western Nebraska APA World Qualifiers in North Platte to compete for trips to the APA World Pool Championships in Las Vegas.
