On Wednesday, the Alliance Peltz Co Prep team hit the road for a pair of games against the Bombers of Bridgeport. The Spartans were victorious in both contests, downing the hosts 10 to 2 in the opener and 7 to 4 in the night cap.
In the first matchup the Spartans used 6 hits and 11 walks to grab the victory. A couple of Bombers miscues helped the Alliance cause in the top of the first. Both Teegan O’Gorman and Israel Garcia reached on Bridgeport errors to start the scoring. An RBI groundout by Reese Muhr would produce the first run. Alliance then would score 2 more runs on stolen bases by Garcia and Jaden Garcia. Pitching for the Spartans was Mason Winter who gave a Bomber run in the bottom of the first on a walk and a single. The Spartans took a 3 to 1 lead heading to the second. Both teams failed to score in the second and the contest went to the third with Alliance still up 3 to 1. Spartan first baseman Fletcher Moseman began the frame with a single. It was followed by an RBI double by Jaden Garcia that put Alliance up by 3. Walks and pass balls would then score Ryan Walker and O’Gorman increasing the Spartan advantage. Hits then by Israel Garcia and Moseman continued the Spartan attack. The inning closed with a Bomber error that plated another run. After 2 and a half innings Alliance led 9 to 1.
Winter would have another scoreless inning in the third and the game went to the fourth and final inning with the Peltz Co ahead 9 to 1. Jaden Garcia walked to begin things in the fourth. A single by Winter was then followed by a RBI hit by Carsen Bunnell that put Alliance out in front 10 to 1. Bridgeport tallied one run in their last at bat but wasn’t enough Final Alliance 10 BP 2

Using 7 hits, Alliance was also able to capture game #2 7 to 4. The Spartans put 3 runs on the board in the opening inning. Hits from O’Gorman and Bunnell was followed by a 2 RBI hit by Israel Garcia to start the rally. Garcia then scored a groundout by Moseman to put the Peltz Co up by 3. The Bombers were denied any scores in the first. In the second both teams failed to score and the game went to the third with Alliance still ahead 3 to 0. Another hit by O’Gorman plus a single by Bunnell gave the Spartans a super opportunity in the top of inning three.
A Bomber error ensued and a BP wild pitch scored another Spartan run. Heading to the bottom of the third Alliance led 5 to 0. The hosts got of the board in the third with 2 hits to close to 5 to 1 after three innings of action. In the fourth Alliance failed to score and the Bombers tallied one more run on 2 hits. Up 5 to 2 in the final inning the Peltz Co mustered 2 more runs on a Moseman single and a Jackson Devlin double. Devlin then scored the seventh run of the game, racing home on a Bomber wild pitch. Bridgeport then used a couple of walks in the final frame to get within 3 at 7 to 4 but a Bomber strikeout finished the contest.
