I am excited to tell you this week we will be competing in our January contest on Wednesday the 13th.
This contest consists of Livestock Management we have five individuals competing in this competition (This contest area consists of identifying animals within the area that they tell us. The species consists of Poultry, Cattle, Pigs, Sheep, and Goats), Florticulture we have five individuals on this team (Identify parts of flowers), and Welding we have four individuals that are in welding (there are four functions and each individual focuses on their own function, they also have a blueprint they have to replicate and each function has a different blueprint).
This contest will be held virtually this year, though it would be usually be held at WNCC in Scottsbluff. Coming up at the end of the month we will be attending the Black Hills Stock Show in Rapid City, S. D. We enjoy attending the stock show and it gives us the opportunity to visit with producers from different states regarding beef producers to crop producers. I hope to have more updates and pictures with my next article.
