PSWGA Competes at Kimball

The Panhandle Senior Women’s Golf Association hit the links at Four Winds Golf Course in Kimball on July 10. Forty-two ladies enjoyed the morning to complete the event.

Taking first place, with a score of 74 gross/60.14 net was Becky Mikel, Jane Holechek, Lisa Richardson, and Kay Heggem. In second place, the team of Kris DeVries, Londa Maron, Jan Bashaw and Pam McRea carded a score of 77 gross/61.51 net. Close behind was the third place team of Franny Haukap, Tracy Mooney, Joy Eberhardt and Phyllis Gross. They recorded a score of 77 gross/61.8 net. Gina Briggs, Betty Landercasper, Lisa Racine and Marsha Strauch came in fourth place, finishing with a score of 78 gross/63.66 net. Rounding out the placings was the fifth place team of Charlotta Young, Tami Pierce and Linda Dawkins. Their score was 78 gross/63.79 net.

Flag prizes were awarded as follows: Longest Drive “A” Player – Franny Haukap, Longest Drive “B” Player – Deb Emrick, Longest Drive “C” Player – Lisa Racine and Longest Drive “D” Player – Phyllis Gross. Terry Grosz and Gail Magers snagged the longest putt flags. Becky Mikel and Jan Bashaw won closest to the pin from off the green flags. Audrey Nelson was closest in 2 on Hole #2, and Gina Briggs had the closest chip shot from off the green on Hole #16. Extra flag prizes provided by the Kimball Ladies Golf Association included: Closest Tee Shot for “A” Player on Hole #3 was Gail Magers, “B” Player on Hole #12 was Tracy Mooney, “C” Player on Hole #17 was Jan Bashaw and “D” Player on Hole # 6 was Kay Heggem.
