PSWGA Competes in Torrington

The Panhandle Senior Women’s Golf Association played Cottonwood at Torrington on July 11, with 34 ladies competing on the beautifully manicured course.

Taking first place with a score of 76 gross/62.91 net was Terry Espinoza, Sally Plover and Beth Korell. Very close behind and in second place was the team of Judy Paradeis, Londa Maron, Joy Eberhardt and Sylvia Debus with a score of 77 gross/63.12 net. The team of Jane Faber, Tami Pierce, Claudia Benda and Pat Rogers placed third with a score of 78 gross/63.91 net. The fourth place team of Gail Magers, Pam Adams, Audrey Nelson and Donna Loyd scored 78 gross/64.51 net.

Flag prizes were awarded as follows: Longest Drive “A” Player – Gina Briggs, Longest Drive “B” Player – Tami Pierce, Longest Drive “C” Player – Claudia Benda and Longest Drive “D” Player – Chris Lapaseotes. Franny Haukap and Beth Korell won Longest Putt flags. Judy Paradeis was closest to the pin on the drive for Hole #6. Donna Meier was closest to the dried up slew on Hole #8. Londa Maron was closest to the pin on 2nd shot at Hole #12, and Kris DeVries was closest to the pin on the drive on Hole #17.

Our next outing will be July 25 at the Scenic Knolls in Mitchell. Ladies golfers with an active GHIN handicap and at least 50 years young are welcome to join us.
