PSWGA Hosts Ninth Outing in Morrill

The Panhandle Senior Women’s Golf Association held its ninth outing of 2022 on Sept. 12 at the Rolling Green Golf Course in Morrill. Twenty-nine women enjoyed a beautiful summer day of golf.

In a close competition, taking first place with a score of 76 gross / 60.78 net was the team of Franny Haukup, Betty Landercasper, Jan Bashaw ad Chris Lapaseotes. In second place with a score of 75 gross / 60.90 net was Gail Magers, Beth Korell, Claudia Benda, and Sylvia Debus. The team of Jane Faber, Tracy Mooney, Donna Meier, and Kay Heggem took third place with a score of 76 gross / 61.19 net.

Flag prizes were awarded as follows: Longest Drive “A” Player – Londa Maron, Longest Drive “B” Player – Beth Korell, Longest Drive “C” Player – Jan Bashaw, Longest Drive “D” Player – Pat Rogers. Chris Lapaseotes and Betty Landercasper won Longest Putt flags. Gail Magers and Marsha Neifert won Closest Tee Shot flags. Franny Haukup and Sylvia Debus won Closest to the Pin from Off the Green flags.

Our final outing will be Sept. 19 at Monument Shadows Golf Course in Morrill, where the Golfer of the Year will be announced, and the fall business meeting will take place.
