The Panhandle Senior Women’s Golf Association played a round on September 11th at Chimney Rock Golf Course in Bayard. Thirty women enjoyed 18 holes of golf on what began as a cool, wet morning, but ended up with blue skies and a comfortable temp. President Joy Eberhardt began the morning with a time of remembering those lost in the 9-11 Tragedy.
Taking first place with a score of 73/60.5 net was Jane Faber, Carole Lain, and Linda Dawkins. Second place with a score of 77/63.84 net was Becky Mikel, Sally Plover, Beth Korell, and Patty Schaneman. Taking third place with a score of 81/66.39 net was Grace Brisby, Londa Maron, Deb Emrick, and Kay Heggem.
Flag prizes were awarded as follows: Longest Drive “A” Player – Terry Espinoza, Longest Drive “B” Player – Tami Pierce, Longest Drive “C” Player – Jan Bashaw and Longest Drive “D” Player – Kay Heggem. Norma Perkins and Patty Schaneman won Longest Putt flags. Jane Faber and Kris DeVries won Closest Tee Shot flags. Charlotta Young and Becky Mikel were Closest to the Pin on 3rd Shot at Holes #1 and #8.
