• Attended the County Commissioner meeting yesterday – helped provide some wage data as requested.
• Assisted 2 prospects with financing and lease options.

Chamber:
• Attend NE Chamber Association zoom meeting.
• Attend WNTC zoom meeting.
Police Admin:
• Chief attended PET meeting with NEMA.
• Meeting with Action regarding hand held radio upgrade.
• Meeting with 5ire regarding free software assistance on evidence based practices.
• Meeting with Central Square regarding inaccurate billing and RMS revision.
Police Communications:
• Coordinated 321 calls for service.
• Completed 6 records requests.
• 5 firearms permits were issued.
Patrol:
• Traffic stop conducted resulting in a distribution of marijuana arrest and cash seizure.
• Counterfeit money (motion picture money) was passed at a gas station. Be aware of cash.
• 5 accidents, and traffic enforcement continues to increase due to it.
Animal Control:
• 2 dogs were impounded and returned.
• 18 animal calls.
Community Development:
• State Flood Mitigation plan update is close to finalizing a draft version for public hearings. This includes an update to our floodplain elevations.
• Goodwill has opened in the Alliance Plaza with a temporary Certificate of Occupancy.
• Runza has complete their exterior wall framing and parking lot.
• Desert Rose Beauty Salon opened at 423 E 3rd after building renovations.
Public Works:
• Lift Station A connecting alarm system.
• Landfill cleanup this week in preparation for conveyor install next week.
• The Public Works Building final punch lists are completed; items being addressed for final inspection.
• Transit 451 riders this week (29,449 riders for 2021).
• 170 water radios connected total.
• Landfill 86 customers 142 tons this week.
Finance:
• The City had auditors onsite Tuesday and Wednesday with only minimal findings and adjustments. The report is anticipated for review in February.
Fire:

• Chief had phone conference with Fire Training Structures on training facility. Footing plans have been drawn and received engineer stamp of approval. Project has been turned over to the FTS production team. They’re procuring materials and imitating fabrication.
• Chief attended the PET Committee (Emergency Management) meeting in Scottsbluff.
Airport:
• 2020 Hailstorm claim – waiting on one overhead door, the other two have been installed.
• December stats are in with enplaned passengers at 352 and deplaned at 334. Our total passenger counts for 2021 was 3,467 which is roughly 1,000 passengers higher than our previous record! The only cancellations for the entire year included two departing flights and three arriving flights and occurred in February and March 2021 due to inclement weather. Our overall on-time percentage was 95% for departures and 96% for arrivals. Reliability is not an issue with this airline!
• Maintenance staff spent a number of hours on snow removal and monitoring of the runway conditions. It is greatly appreciated.
