Public Works:

• Public Transit 600 riders this week.

• Vehicle maintenance.

• Brake and rotor replacement on pickup.

• Trailer hitch rebuild.

Electric:

• Continue the three phase rebuild project on CR 62 north of Otoe.

• Removed old/unused primary cable in 1100 block of Toluca; Replaced fixtures and rerouted streetlight wires on 1100 block of Toluca.

• Selected contractor to perform pole inspections on parts of rural and urban system.

• Two personnel assisted PD with apprehension of impaired driver.

Finance:

• The capital planning (budget) process begins for all departments today.

• Requests were sent to local banks for quotes on either loans or leases to cover the purchase price of the new refuse truck.

Police Admin:

• Meeting with Central Square (Police Records Management System) and Datalytics (Contractor making interface for website) facilitating integration for the data platform.

• Lumen (911 answering system) meetings.

• SRS (State Radio System) meeting.

• WING Drug Task Force meeting.

• Nebraska Chief of Police Association meeting.

• NLETC (Nebraska Law Enforcement Training Center) meeting.

• Panhandle Cybersecurity Class.

• NLETC Management Training.

Police Communications/Intelligence:

• Coordinated 602 calls for service.

• Completed 4 report requests.

• 3 firearms permits issued.

Police Operations:

• 3 Child Welfare Investigations.

• 1 DUI, 9 Traffic Stops.

• 3 accidents.

• 0 K9 deployments.

• 201 Building Checks.

• 22 Community Contacts/Business Checks.

• 7 Active Investigations.

Animal Control:

• 22 Animal Calls.

• 1 Dog Impound. 1 Dog Returned.

Code Enforcement:

• 58 Code enforcement issues.

BBDC:

• Participated in Conference Call with DED Housing staff on potential NAHTF Application for 1-2 new homes being proposed for Homestead Addition.

Attended Hemingford Chamber monthly board meeting.

• Met with Mrs. Jelinek Wednesday in preparation for May 5th – 5th Grand Career Day.

• Attended Activate Alliance monthly meeting Thursday morning.

• Attended Heartland Expressway monthly board meeting – serving as Interim Secretary until PADD hires someone new (HEA: 4 Lane to be open by Fall 2022; Highway Commission meeting in Alliance June 24).

• Participated in Community Huddle meeting Thursday – shared update on UNL Interns; it is anticipated that we will host three interns this summer.

• Attended Hemingford Public School Community meeting Thursday night – discussing the future of the district.

• Meeting with Seth & Brent on Power Plant Friday afternoon – selected by Kansas State University as a Nebraska Brownfield Project (potential reuse plan).
