Thanks to all of our patrons for their patience and kindness during this process: The roof is now being replaced, so unfortunately the east parking lot and book drop will remain closed until further notice. There is a drop box in the west entryway for returning items until the book drop is accessible again.

• Children’s Librarian Cynthia Horn is hosting the search for Gertie the Ghost with two winners per day. All children 2nd grade and under are welcome to come in and see if they can find the library’s favorite ghost! Cynthia has enjoyed seeing many new faces coming to Lego club and has been busy creating a new scrapbook of all the projects the kids are working on. Next week’s storytime will have a Spooktacular theme with Alliance Police Department Officer David Laduke sharing Halloween safety tips!

She corresponded with local artist Laura Higgins to set up two craft classes for November and December. She also began a Library Management NLC course, and weeded out the older Fiction and Non-fiction books on our new shelf and catalogued new fiction and nonfiction books.
