In recognition of its commitment to educate employees and the community about the importance of organ, eye, and tissue donation while encouraging donor registration, Regional West Medical Center has achieved Gold recognition status in the 2025 DoNation campaign.
The national initiative, sponsored by the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, challenges workplaces, including hospitals, to create donation-friendly workplace communities that educate and engage employees and the community about the crucial need for organ donation, and gives them opportunities to sign up as organ, eye, and tissue donors.
“On behalf of Live On Nebraska, thank you Regional West Medical Center for the exceptional care you provide to your patients and their families, and the amazing collaboration between your teams and ours during the donation process,” said Paula Marzolf, donation services specialist for Live On Nebraska, which serves as Nebraska organ procurement organization. “The hard work and dedication you and your teams provide, along with your donation committee, helps bring more awareness to the importance of donation.”
“We are gratified to be recognized by DoNation for Regional West’s commitment to the cause of organ, eye, and tissue donation,” said Regional West President and CEO Ned Resch. “Collaboration between Live On Nebraska and Regional West Medical Center plays a vital role in lifesaving and life-enhancing transplantation.”
Since HRSA’s organ donation campaign began 14 years ago, partners have helped over 662,500 people register as organ, eye, and tissue donors. Thanks to these efforts, more organs are available for life-saving transplants, helping people across the country live longer, healthier lives.
