It is with great sadness that the family of Rena Kathryn “Kathi” (Common) Frisina announce her passing on October 26, 2023. Kathryn, 80, passed away peacefully in her sleep with her husband at her side in her home in Anthem, Arizona.
Kathryn was born on May 31, 1943 in Alliance, Ohio. She attended school St. Joseph’s Catholic School of Alliance and graduated Southeast High School in 1961. Kathryn did local modeling before marrying and starting her family. She later attended Kent State University and was licensed in real estate and property management. Kathryn then lived in Maryland and retired from Maryland’s department of education. She spent her last 20 years living in Arizona with her husband.
Kathryn was a talented writer and an avid reader. She also had a creative eye for design. Her family and friends were the recipients of exceptional, handmade greeting cards, photo books, and other unique, cherished gifts. She loved creating beautiful items or preparing delicious meals for her loved ones. As Mom, Wife, Nana, Sister, Aunt or dear friend, Kathryn showed affection easily and gave the sweetest hugs.
Kathryn was preceded in death by her daughter Regina Anita Bradley, her parents Nicholas and Marie (Iervante) Common, her siblings Anita (Common) and Russell Wiles, Mark Twain (Florence) Common, and Frances David (Judy) Common.
Kathryn is survived by her husband of 33 years Robert Frisina, her two children Nicole (Bradley) Kelly, Adam (Tracy) Bradley, her grandchildren Joseph, Monica, Isabel, and Lucas Kelly; Andrew and Tatum Bradley; three step-children Michelle, Rob, and David Frisina; six step-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law Florence Common and Judy Common; and seven nieces and nephews.
Kathryn’s ashes will be buried in Alliance Ohio at a later date to be determined.
