Robert Allan Wood, Sr., 62 of Alliance, passed away Thursday, February 23, 2023 at Regional West Medical Center.
The son of Dwight and Charlotte (Spaulding) Wood, he was born in Peoria, Illinois on March 28, 1960.
He graduated high school and had various jobs growing up until he found his passion of being an over the road truck driver. He drove trucks for many companies for the next 30 years until his health changed plans for him. While driving the truck he met Jill Diane Minich, and they were united in marriage on March 21, 1997.
He is survived by his wife, Jill, his sons, Robert (Mary) Wood, II of Chillicothe, IL and Alex Wood of Mackinaw, IL, his step-children, Scotty (Regina) Minich and Troy Minich of Alliance, and his grandchildren, Nyla Stone, Marcus Stone, Devon Stone, Rhiannon Herstedt, Cody Minich and Katelynne Minich. He is also survived by his birth mother, Judy Tuttle, his half-sister, Tammy Croisant and his half-brother, Rocky Tuttle all of Clifton, CO.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, March 1, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at the Bates-Gould Chapel. Burial will be in the Gurley Cemetery at Gurley, Nebraska. Visitation will be Tuesday from 2-5 p.m. at the funeral home.
