Rolf William Brennemann Jr. Obituary

Rolf William Brennemann Jr., commonly known as Will, of Fairbanks, Alaska, passed away peacefully May 22, 2021, in Lincoln, Nebraska. He was 72.

Will, who was born Oct. 31, 1948, to Bill and Evelyn Brennemann, grew up in Hyannis and graduated from Hyannis High School. Following graduation, he attended Chadron State College from 1969-70, but soon realized he wanted to work for himself, which he did for the remainder of his life. He began a ranch and cattle operation and owned a welding shop and trucking business in Hyannis. Later, Will moved to Fairbanks, Alaska, where he owned and operated a trucking business.

Will enjoyed spending his free time outside, hunting and fishing, but mostly he relished the time spent with his friends and family. No one was a stranger to Will and he had a knack for befriending people.

Will’s family includes his daughters, Jami (Adam) Helmbrecht, Kori (Matt) Lentell, and Brook Stromer; grandchildren Addison and Bailey Helmbrecht, Keinan and Kaitlyn Lentell, Alec and Abby Stromer; significant other Kathy Hoppes; sisters Kim (Chris) Abbott, Holly (Steven) Dodds, and Sharlene Haney; brother Chris (Darla) Brennemann, and many friends. Will was preceded in death by his parents.

A graveside service is scheduled for Friday, June 4, at 11 a.m. at Hyannis Cemetery. A lunch will follow at the Hyannis Winters Building.

Memorials will be directed by the family.
