Roy J. Zimmerman of Alliance passed away Monday, September 23, 2024 at Monument Rehab Care Center in Scottsbluff. He was 70 years of age.
He was born September 15, 1954 in Alliance to Charles and Dorothy Miller Zimmerman. He served in the U.S. Army from May 31, 1974 to May 25, 1976. He returned to Alliance and was employed by Burlington Northern Railroad. He would later work at Parker-Hannifin in Alliance until his retirement.
Survivors include his son, Charles of Alliance, his brother, Charles of Brighton, his sisters, Dorothy Crocker of Omaha and Judy Buskirk of Bayard. He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters Jane Stanton and Jean Irvine.
Graveside services will be Tuesday, October 1 at 11:00 a.m. at the Nebraska Veterans Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, Sept. 30 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Bates-Gould Funeral Home.
