Saint Agnes Academy completed their fourth field day at Bulldog Stadium on May 9 for grades three through five. The weather was perfect, we had many volunteers and donations, and the students had a blast. The day began with tug-of-war between grades, then the students broke out into groups and participated in eleven stations. The stations included standing long jump, softball throw, hula hoop bowling, coloring, skee ball, football skills, and more. Next, the students competed in a stuffed animal baton relay race with their groups and an individual 50-yard dash. Awards for the races, standing long jump, soccer kick, and softball throw were handed out as the students ate lunch in the stadium. Field day shirts were donated by Shelmadine Print Shop. Students were able to sign autographs on the back of the shirts during a break station and at the end of lunch. This is always a favorite activity. Field day is my one of my favorite events of year and I love seeing all the fun the students and volunteers have. I am looking forward to another fun day next year.
