Sally Hooper Mannlein age 73 Born June 8, 1949 to Dorothy (Barth) Hooper and Bruce Hooper at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Alliance, NE. Attended private rural school #145 at the Hooper ranch until 4th grade with sister, Carol, as an only classmate. Attended rural school #100 from grades 5 through 8. Attended high school in Alliance, Nebraska and graduated in 1967. Further education was at Kearney State College for Bachelor of Arts in Art Education and a Master’s degree earned from Chadron State College in English Education. Married Lawrence ( Larry ) Mannlein in Kearney, Nebraska and lived at Ft. Leonard Wood, MO. during his Army days. Had two sons, Brenton John and Eric Alan. Lived in Alliance for 25 years teaching special education at Alliance High School and art education at Grandview Elementary. Lived in Las Vegas, Nevada for 16 years teaching art education at Louis Wiener Elementary. Twice awarded outstanding educator of the year for southwest region. Lived in Prescott, Arizona from 2013 until death. Member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and two bible studies. Survived by: husband, Lawrence Mannlein, sons Brenton and Eric, grandchildren Gabriele and Audrey Mannlein and Olivia, Ava, Sawyer, and Hunter Mannlein.
