For the fourth straight year, Alliance High School senior Josie Sanders will competed in the state track meet held in Omaha. Sanders placed fourth in the 300 hurdles with a time of 47.6 in getting to Omaha for the fourth time. She was an additional qualifier. The Bulldog track teams took apart in the Class B District 6 meet in Ogallala on Wednesday. Joining Sanders in qualifying at state will be fellow St. Agnes’ alumni Payton Boyer who will be going in the long jump. Boyer’s leap of 21’2 was good for sixth and a spot as an additional qualifier. Team titles went to Chase County who won the boy’s race with 106 points while the Lady Longhorns captured the girl’s division with 105 points. McCook ended second on the girl’s side with 100 points. AHS scored 11 points which was good for tenth. Gothenberg was second in the boy’s race with 96 points. Alliance finished 8th with 9 points. Ten schools took part in the event.

The state track meet will be in Omaha with Classes A and B competing on Wednesday and Thursday, May 21 and 22.
