Nebraska Secretary of State Bob Evnen invites Nebraska business leaders to join his delegation for a Trade and Investment Mission to Taiwan. The Secretary of State’s Office is organizing meetings with government agencies and representatives, agricultural groups and leading businesses in Taiwan. The trade mission is scheduled for September 23-27, 2024.
“Taiwan is home to several well-established markets that could benefit Nebraska businesses,” Secretary Evnen said. “We’re looking at potential opportunities in the agriculture, technology, manufacturing and health care industries.”
The 2024 Trade and Investment Mission to Taiwan will be Secretary Evnen’s seventh international trade mission since taking office in 2019. The Secretary of State has a statutory responsibility to promote international exchanges of commerce and culture. Secretary Evnen has been a part of trade missions to Kenya, Bulgaria, Tanzania, the United Arab Emirates and Jordan.
Deputy Secretary of State for International Trade Cindi Allen is recruiting businesses and organizations to join the upcoming trade mission. As an expert in international trade, Deputy Allen has spent years helping organizations and agricultural groups with trade missions in Africa, Asia, Europe and South America.
