Post 12 from Chadron used strong pitching to best Alliance 8 to 0 in Senior League baseball Wednesday in Chadron. The Spartans were limited to just 2 hits on the night. With the loss, the Seniors have a 23 and 9 record on the year. PVC put the five inning contest away with 5 runs in their last at bat. Cody Galles was the lone pitcher for Alliance.
No tallies were scored in the first two innings . The Spartans received a double by Jaxson Esparza in the top of the second but he was left on the bases. Galles had 1-2-3 frame in the home half and recorded one k. Using 2 singles and an error by Alliance, Chadron scored once in the bottom of the third.
Down 1 to 0, the Peltz Co again failed to score in the top of the fourth. Post 12 would then increase their advantage in the bottom of the frame with 2 more runs. Two doubles plus 2 singles put the White team’s deficit at 3 to 0. A hit by Spartan Jaxon Poss in the top of the fifth gave Alliance a chance. The Peltz Co left fielder was unfortunately stranded on the bags. Chadron finished the contest with a 5 spot in their last attempt. The hosts had six hits in the frame as Post 12 went on for the 8 to 0 win.
