Several Events Approach

4-H Leather Workshop

Youth will have the opportunity to design and stamp their own leather belt. The workshop will be held in Hemingford at the Multipurpose Hall from 9 a.m. until noon on May 19. Youth who are at least eight years old are eligible to attend the workshop. Dawes County Round Up

The Dawes County Round Up is a livestock judging contest that is a part of the Great Plains Judging Circuit contests, which will be held on May 20. The event will take place at the Dawes County Fairgrounds. Youth who are between the ages of 8 and 18 are eligible to participate in this judging contest. Youth can register by contacting the Dawes County Extension Office at (308) 432-3373 or register the day of. The event starts at 9 a.m. Youth will judge at least six different livestock classes. Prizes will be awarded to the top individual judgers in each age division.

Bell Bottoms and Accessory Workshop

Get ready to start your summer off in style by attending the Bell Bottom and Accessory Workshop on May 24 at the Box Butte County Extension Office. Youth who are at least eight years of age are eligible to bring in a pair jeans and dress them up at this event. Youth will also need to bring a sack lunch.
