Sharon Kay (Edwards) Dam passed away in Lincoln, Nebraska on May 14th, 2023.
Sharon was born on June 3, 1951 in McCook. She lived in and
attended school in Curtis, NE until 1965 when her family moved to Alliance. Sharon graduated from Alliance High School in 1969. Upon graduation Sharon attended beauty school in Alliance and graduated in 1970. She was a beautician in Sidney for 45 years trimming, french rolling and perming countless customers.
Sharon married Thomas (Tom) Dam on November 26th, 1973 and their family was complete with the birth of their son Dustin in 1984.
Sharon enjoyed shopping, baking and being grandma to her two grandchildren.
Left to celebrate her life are husband of nearly 50 years, Tom, her son Dustin and daughter-in-law Stacy and grandchildren Porter and Cadence along with mother Hilda Leachman, and siblings Marlin (Joni) Edwards, Donnie (Rose) Edwards, Larry (Cynthia) Edwards, Kathy Edwards, Teresa Caudle, John (Brenda) Leachman and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her dad Jake and in-laws Thomas & Melba Dam.
Graveside service will be held at the VA Cemetery in Alliance on June 9th at 2pm. Following the service at 3pm a celebration of life will be held at the VFW.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Dorwart Cancer Center in Sidney or the Box Butte Health Foundation in Alliance.
