Sharon M. Jurado, 63, passed away Thursday, October 21, 2021 at Box Butte General Hospital in Alliance.
She was born May 4, 1958 in Alliance to Darwin John and Margaret Ann (White) Matula, Sr.
On March 28, 1981 she was united in marriage to Jesse Jurado at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Alliance. Sharon was a nurse for 30 years, working both in Alliance and Scottsbluff. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her family and pets, especially time spent with her grandchildren. In her free time, she enjoyed gardening, cooking, reading and was an avid animal lover.
She is survived by her husband, Jesse, her children, Jennifer Jurado of Lincoln and Jeff Jurado and his fiancé Amanda Mittan of Alliance and her grandchildren, Jailee, Ryker, Caylee, Corbin and Landon. She is also survived by her brother, John (Maridon) Matula of Alliance and numerous nieces, nephews, and close family.
Her parents preceded her in death.
Memorial services will be Wednesday, October 27 at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Rosary Catholic Church with Father Matt Koperski officiating. Interment will be in the Nebraska Veterans Cemetery at Alliance. The family welcomes people to join them for a reception at the Alliance Eagles following the interment.
The family would prefer memorials be given to Alliance Volunteer Fire Department Training Center, Veterans State Cemetery at Alliance Foundation or the Alliance Animal Shelter.
