After the game, the Spartans Senior Head Coach Carlos Palomo had some words about how he felt they competed.
“This early on, I’m really proud of how we competed. We found a way to manufacture runs. We tip our caps off to Sidney for competing. I thought they pitched well and kept us off balance a little bit. Offensively we’ll get things rolling better bunting impacted the game; that was the fourth or fifth inning. I’m proud of how our pitchers competed, which kept us in the game. We didn’t get too high, too low, and we kept that even keel throughout our conscience and were able to get a W,” said Palomo.
